What if you could wear a memory?
In this beginner friendly workshop, participants will explore how clothing and textiles can become personal archives. Using photographs, fabric, meaningful objects, patterns, and other materials, you’ll transform a personal memory or story into a wearable textile piece.
You’ll experiment with layering, appliqué, embellishment, image transfer, and fabric manipulation to create a one of a kind wearable artwork. The workshop invites you to think about what we choose to preserve, what we carry with us, and how personal history can live through material.
No prior sewing or textile experience is required. All basic materials are provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a small personal photograph, fabric scrap, or meaningful textile to incorporate into their piece.
You’ll leave with:
• A completed wearable textile piece
• An introduction to textile archiving and material storytelling
• Hands-on experience with layering, embellishment, and fabric manipulation
