Explore the world of art through drawing and painting! In this playful introduction to visual art, young artists will experiment with lines, shapes, color, texture, and composition while creating their own original artwork.
Students will work with a variety of drawing and painting materials and learn that there is no single “right” way to make art. Each project encourages experimentation, imagination, and personal expression.
No previous art experience is required. All materials are provided.
Students will explore:
• Drawing and mark making
• Color mixing and painting
• Shapes, patterns, and composition
• Different ways to create texture
• Creative expression through art
