Let’s make something with our hands!
In this playful introduction to fiber art, young artists will explore fabric, texture, color, pattern, and embellishment through hands-on making. Students will experiment with fabric scraps, yarn, beads, buttons, and other materials to create their own unique textile artwork.
The class encourages creativity, experimentation, and storytelling while introducing children to basic fiber art techniques in a fun and supportive environment.
No previous art or sewing experience is required. All materials are provided.
Students will explore:
• Cutting, layering, and arranging fabric
• Basic hand stitching and fiber techniques
• Texture, pattern, and color
• Embellishment with beads, buttons, yarn, and other materials
• Using art to tell a personal story
