“Filling in the Gap” explores the ways Black families and communities create systems of care when institutions fall short. Through immersive installations, Taylor Childs transforms space into a site of memory, protection, and healing, honoring the caregivers, elders, and community members who step in to preserve culture, nurture future generations, and carry stories/ legacy forward.
